Daily Virtual Tutoring
Please access and set aside PT 7 section 1 and PT 64 section 1 for exclusive use in the Daily Virtual Tutoring curriculum. Please do not, under any circumstances, use these two sections for homework drilling.
All students participate in Daily Virtual Tutoring when they first join Elemental. Daily Virtual Tutoring is a series of back-and-forth video lessons with individualized video responses that dive deep into Translation, CLIR, questions and answers, and other fundamental skills. It’s sort of like instant replay in sports, but for the LSAT!
Students are able to finely tune their Translation skills before moving on to tutoring sessions and full section drills. Students will need access to PT 7 section 1 and PT 64 section 1 for use in the Daily Virtual Tutoring curriculum. Please do not, under any circumstances, use these two sections for homework drilling. You can access PT 7 be either subscribing to 7Sage for one month and downloading the PDFs of all the non-LawHub exams (you will want access to all these exams anyway, so this is not a bad idea) or ordering this PT 7-18 book on Amazon.
Students are expected to complete a daily VideoAsk and reflection. Honestly, the reflection is where the money is. Just as you are learning to take a curious, observational approach to LSAT stimuli, you should reflect back on your own work from a place of observation and analytic introspection. What specific components of the process did you do well? With which specific components of the process did you struggle? What were you doing, thinking, and feeling in real time as you translated your stimulus, and what results did that yield? Asking these probing questions of yourself will lead to better self-teaching and faster, more permanent progress. Additionally students must submit the very first take for their VideoAsk. This will enable the student to receive much more authentic feedback that can be applied to future LSAT work.
Students will receive one video response per 24 hour period, with six responses per week. If a student is not able to complete a video every day of the week, the missed days cannot be made up or refunded. Students are not able to take DVT “breaks” mid-week for any reason.
Please do not send multiple submissions to the same VideoAsk prompt. If you are having technical difficulties, please reach out to someone from Team Elemental for assistance. Please use Google Chrome to complete your daily video assignments.
